13 Numbats bred at Perth Zoo translocated on Tuesday 13 December to AWC's Scotia Sanctuary in western NSW.

13th Pungalina-Seven Emu: 80 km of the Calvert River cleared of prickle bush  
Parkinsonia is a prickly invasive bush from Africa that is now widespread throughout northern Australia and threatens many ecosystems. On Pungalina-Seven Emu, AWC is working to prevent the spread of this weed with the eventual aim of removing it entirely from the Calvert River Catchment.
11th Kimberley sanctuaries weed control  
A team of AWC staff and 12 members of the Tirralintji and Yulumbu indigenous communities have recently conducted two large scale weed control projects in the central Kimberley, building on previous work in and around Mornington Sanctuary.

9th ENDANGERED MAMMALS AIRLIFTED TO NEW REFUGE  
In an historic cross-border operation led by scientists at the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC), 39 endangered Greater Stick-nest Rats have been airlifted from a remote island off the South Australian coast to their new home at Mt Gibson Wildlife Sanctuary, about 350 kilometres north-east of Perth.
