Mt Zero/Travale Sanctuary
Mt Zero/Taravale Sanctuary

AWC acquired Mt Zero in 2002 and Taravale in 2003. Generous assistance was provided by the Federal Government, through the Natural Heritage Trust. The acquisition of Taravale was also supported by The Nature Conservancy.

Both Mt Zero and Taravale have been managed primarily for cattle grazing for more than 50 years. Selective logging has also occurred on a small area of each property. Tin mining was carried out in some areas until about 15 years ago, although this occurred on a very small scale.
