Yookamurra Sanctuary - Accommodation and Facilities
The camp facilities are within the safety of the fenced sanctuary, providing a secure outdoor environment for visitors. We can accommodate up to 40 guests. Most rooms are twin share, with two single beds, a small wardrobe and a table. We also have five rooms with a bunk bed and a single bed, a small wardrobe and a table. Everyone will need to bring their own sleeping bag and pillow.

Power is available in the rooms but items such as hair-dryers cannot be used as we run primarily on solar power and our power system cannot cope with high-energy use items. There are no heaters in the sleeping quarters, but they are well insulated and there is heating in the recreation hut (see below). It will get cold during the nights so make sure to bring warm pyjamas!
All dining and food preparation is done in the recreation hut. This is a large room with seating for 40 people, a television, and an industrial kitchen. The room has gas heating, but we do ask that you only turn the heater on when necessary as we only have bottled gas on the property. The kitchen contains an industrial oven and stovetop, kettle, toaster, freezer and a large walk in cool room. We also have a large undercover barbecue, which was built by the Friends of Yookamurra.

There are four toilets and hot showers that are shared between visitors. Toilets are flushing but we use a septic system. Sanitary products should not be flushed but wrapped in paper and placed in the bins in the toilets.
