Friends of Bowra
Starting in 2010, AWC will co-ordinate a Friends of Bowra group, with members helping in a variety of ways to support the conservation of Bowra. A volunteer program will be developed.
In the meantime, AWC is inviting people who are passionate about the conservation of Bowra to email a short message about the property to bowra.appeal@australianwildlife.org for us to display on this page.
If you wish to be included in the Friends of Bowra, submit your name and contact details to friendsofbowra@australianwildlife.org. You will receive email updates when the Friends group commences.
Visiting Bowra
Bowra is closed to visitors during the hot period from 31 October until 1 March. Visitors are welcome during the first ten days of March 2012, however AWC ecologists will undertake a comprehensive biological survey from 12 to 30 March 2012 (no visitors during this time). Therefore Bowra will officially re-open to visitors on 1 April 2012.
To make enquiries or bookings over the closed summer period (1 October to 28 February), please contact Peter Crow on 07 3398 5118. From 1 March to 30 October all enquiries and bookings should be made directly with the volunteers at Bowra on 07 4655 1238.
