November 2017: The AWC team at Newhaven Wildlife Sanctuary worked tirelessly over four weeks to complete a 5km feral cat and fox-proof fence to provide a secure refuge for a threatened population of Mala that were safely translocated from Watarrka National Park last week.

The team is now building 44 kilometres of feral-proof fence to establish a 9,450 ha feral cat and fox-free area, which will ultimately be expanded to over 70,000 ha (200 kms of fence). Feral cats alone kill millions of native animals every night across Australia.
