Gifts of Property

You can support AWC by making a gift of property during your lifetime as an alternative to making a bequest. The value of the gift can be claimed as a tax deduction provided the value is greater than AU$5,000. In fact the tax deduction can be spread over 5 years.

The types of property that you could donate to AWC include:

• Land
• Shares; and
• Vehicles and machinery

For example a gift to AWC of land valued at AU$500,000 can be split into 5 deductions of AU$100,000 per annum for 5 years.
