Visitors Programs

A visitor education program has been designed for Mornington sanctuary. The program includes: A series of interpretive trail notes for both walking and driving trails, which aim to increase visitors' appreciation of Mornington and their understanding of the ecology of tropical savannas. An information and resource centre which aims to educate people about the need for conservation, and the role that AWC plays in biodiversity conservation nationally. Evening lectures by scientific experts and naturalists on the conservation priorities at Mornington sanctuary, and the plants and animals that find refuge within it. Guided educational tours that showcase the wildlife and landscapes of the sanctuary, and illustrate the range of scientific work that is being carried out.
