Visitor`s Programs

Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary is open to the public with a series of walk trails that were developed with the assistance of Green Corps volunteers. The 14 kms of trail feature areas of natural, scenic, and historical interest, including spectacular wildflowers, seasonal creeks and waterfalls, and dramatic vistas. There are three circuits of various lengths and difficulties, enabling a wide cross-section of the community to enjoy the incredible environment of the Avon Valley. Large cairns built by Sir John Forrest in 1878 as he surveyed the valley are of historical interest. Anyone can enjoy the scenic splendour of Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary, though entry is through prior arrangement only.
