Feral cat and fox control at Bowra
Foxes and cats are present at Bowra. These feral predators are controlled by shooting, baiting and trapping. AWC works with neighbours to co-ordinate regional baiting and control measures. The population of cats and foxes at Bowra is monitored through the use of camera traps.
During 2016 AWC laid 1,300 fox baits across the sanctuary, this ongoing management has significantly reduced the population of foxes at Bowra since its acquisition in 2014.
