Yookamurra Sanctuary is focused solely on Primary and Secondary school Education programs. You can choose from the following activities and specially designed projects:
Nocturnal guided walk- Meet bilbies, woylies, boodies and stick-nest rats
Mallee Ecology Walks– Discover the components of a mallee woodland
Whose scat is that? Scat analysis using quadrats, digital images and microscopes
Whose hair is that?>Mammal survey using simple hair tubes and computer-aided resources
Describing vegetation– Learn how to describe vegetation using samples
What track is that track?– Learn about animal tracking, and how to tell different tracks apart
Looking hard at lichens – learn about lichens and how they interact in the mallee
