What did you do before AWC?
Prior to becoming a scientist I was a commando in the Australian Army Special Forces. During my tertiary studies I worked as a tutor and research assistant. Between my Honours and PhD research, and also after my PhD, I worked as an environmental consultant.
Favourite animal protected by AWC
Northern Quoll
Favourite place on an AWC sanctuary
At this stage my favourite is Fitzroy Bluff at Mornington…...I’m looking forward to seeing more of the wonderful places that AWC manages.
Top three animals you would like to see (or have seen) in the wild
Like to see: Amur Leopard, Polar Bear, Takin.
If you could visit any three places on the planet
Svalbard, Ngorongoro Crater, Białowieża Forest
Other interesting stuff
Tracking and analysing animal movements is my nerdy passion.
