Science: surveys and research at Buckaringa
At Buckaringa, AWC conducts annual trapping and spotlight surveys across 18 fauna monitoring sites.
The purpose of this ecological monitoring is to measure a suite of indicators including the diversity and abundance of key faunal groups.
AWC also undertakes dedicated monitoring of the Yellow-footed Rock-wallaby population, quarterly bird surveys at 18 sites and 50 vegetation surveys annually.
The level of feral animal activity is measured by regular transects surveys.
