Australia is facing an extinction crisis. Right now, 1,800 Australian animals and plants are at risk of being added to Australia’s appalling extinction record. Predation by feral cats and foxes, poor fire management and feral herbivores are key factors driving the planet’s highest rate of mammal extinctions.

AWC is implementing a radical new conservation model that works. Our science-based metrics, which track the population of key species and our success in reducing key threats, show we are bucking the trend, delivering great ecological outcomes for wildlife like the Bilby, Northern Quoll and Purple-crowned Fairy-wren.

Importantly, we are producing a higher ecological return at a lower cost.
