In this noteworthy edition of Wildlife Matters, Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) announces a new sanctuary. Located just north of Sydney, in New South Wales, the sanctuary protects an area of regional Koala significance and is home to many forest-dwelling species not currently found within AWC’s network.
Issue 44 also reveals new infrastructure to be built at Charnley River–Artesian Range Wildlife Sanctuary in Western Australia. The Kimberley Conservation Hub will strengthen the delivery of leading conservation land management and important research into the Kimberley’s unique biodiversity.
AWC’s conservation magazine also covers: the collaborative efforts of Dambimangari and Ngarinyin Women Rangers and AWC to survey an endangered and elusive species; protecting the Northern Hairy-nosed Wombat, Australia’s ‘barrels of the bush’; progress in the Ngalurrtju Partnership in Central Australia; exciting updates on AWC’s ambitious reintroduction program; and the immense value of conservation education.
With your help, we are expanding the Australia’s conservation landscape and together we are making a difference for wildlife and habitats.Download a copy of this Wildlife Matters
